What your day will look like:

Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of activities that assist in the conduct of training and learning activities with children experiencing mild/moderate cognitive disabilities.

•  You will perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and perform other related work as required. 
• As directed by the teacher, you will work with an individual or small group of students who have mild/moderate cognitive disabilities.  
• You will make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels, needs, and abilities are addressed.
• Exercise behavior management and maintain control of students assigned to his/her care.
• Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals in the special education and general education classrooms.
• This position will be 29 hours per week.
